Over the years, the history and capabilities of DMC Ottawa have been built on the legacies of three corporate pioneers in Canada's radio/tv broadcasting, live entertainment and event-planning fields: CHUM Limited, Rolly Hammond Entertainment and the Intertask Group of Companies.

CHUM Limited, one of Canada's largest and most successful national broadcasting companies founded the Intertask Group of Companies and its subsidiary, Intertask Conferences Limited, in 1974. Intertask provides the federal government and national associations with senior-level expertise in planning the operations of national and international conferences and events, using experience developed since planning the Royal Visit of 1973.

Rolly Hammond Entertainment (1972) Inc. was, for more than 20 years, one of Canada's largest private entertainment booking agencies and show producers, providing national and international talent for major annual stageshows such as those at the Central Canada Exhibition in Ottawa, and places such as the old Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Agents for the Regimental Band of the Governor General's Foot Guard of Canada.

The Intertask Group of Companies purchased Rolly Hammond Entertainment in 1996 and combined it with the event-planning division of Intertask Conferences in 2000 and the sightseeing tour operations of its affiliate, Conference/Aide Tours.

JPdL DMC Ottawa was created specifically to offer the full range of knowhow and flair to support clients presenting successful events in Canada's capital.

Corporate and financial stability is demonstrated through more than 35 years of producing successful events in Ottawa. The Company carries special facility and document-handling security clearances from the Government of Canada. Each staff person has been security cleared and is certified in first aid and CPR.
